Aysha Al Ketbi
Aysha Al Ketbi is the Director of Strategic Planning at the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), the largest environmental regulator in the Middle East that plays a pivotal role in protecting natural capital, strengthening environmental governance, and advancing sustainable development across the Emirate.
With over 25 years of leadership experience spanning government, semi-government, and private sectors, Aysha has consistently driven institutional transformation by translating long-term visions into executable strategies and measurable outcomes. She is recognized as a regional sustainability leader, having led the first GRI-checked sustainability report in the Arab world’s public sector—setting new standards for transparency, accountability, and ESG excellence.
Aysha has represented EAD in shaping the environmental pillar of Abu Dhabi Strategy as part of the Foundational Strategy of Natural Resources, Energy & Environment (NREE), ensuring alignment between environmental priorities and socio-economic development goals. Throughout her career, she has led high-impact initiatives, strengthened governance and performance systems, and enhanced organization-wide effectiveness in dynamic institutional environments.
She is a Board member of the UN Global Compact Network in the UAE (2026-2029). She holds an Executive MBA and multiple professional accredited certifications in sustainability, organizational development, project management, strategic planning, innovation and corporate governance.
