Antonio Peramo
Antonio Peramo is a professional with over two decades of experience in the banking industry and risk management, and has developed most of his career in Madrid (Spain). He joined Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) in 2001, and Banco Santander in 2008, where he held several roles: Head of market risks in offshore books, equities & commodities, Head of Consolidation, and from 2014, Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). He was also the Chairman of Sivasa’s Board of Directors (Banco Santander’s subsidiary).
In 2023, he moved to the UAE with his family to join ADIB as the Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
Antonio holds a degree in Economics from Universidad CEU San Pablo, where he earned the Ángel Herrera award for academic excellence. He holds the FRM certification, and has studied several Masters in Universidad Carlos III of Madrid, HEC Paris and IE Business School.
He has been a lecturer and speaker at AFI Finance School and at Alcala de Henares University in Madrid.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family (wife and two daughters of 15 and 11) and friends. He is passionate about sports and practice boxing, running and skiing.
