Khurram is a seasoned professional with over two decades of expertise in external and internal audit, currently leads as the Chief Internal Auditor and Chief Risk Officer at the General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA), the federal pension fund of the UAE. His extensive experience in the field is marked by notable roles in prestigious organizations. Prior to his current role, Mr. Sabir made significant contributions as the Head of Internal Audit and Compliance at Waha Capital. In this capacity, he oversaw the Internal Audit and Compliance functions of the company and its subsidiaries and served as the designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). Mr. Sabir's journey in GRC is distinguished by his tenure in top accountancy firms. He spent almost a decade in the top 4 firms, enhancing his expertise in various facets of audit and compliance. His leadership in internal audit functions extended to the Retail and Wealth Segments at First Abu Dhabi Bank (formerly National Bank of Abu Dhabi) and Russell Investments in London, UK. Additionally, his tenure in Deloitte, UK and KPMG, further solidified his credentials in the industry.
