Phuti is passionate with Governance, Strategy, Risk Management and Controls. He uses this passion in Partnering with businesses to set up robust processes to get the businesses to become high performance and become sustainable. Phuti is the CEO of Semenya Leadership Solutions and an Interim CEO of Maysene Logistics.

Phuti is the former CAE of Massmart, a company listed on the JSE with operations in various countries in the African continent. Massmart is a world-class retailer with Walmart as the majority shareholder and holding company.

Phuti started his professional career in auditing in 1998 and his experience spans large companies such as Deloitte, Std Bank, Nedbank, PPC and now Massmart, gaining experience in strategy, management, and in accounting, external auditing, forensic auditing and internal auditing. Being on EXCO has provided Phuti with a holistic view of the business and an ability to better understand interconnectedness of all aspects of the business. This has in assisted Phuti in becoming a trusted business advisor.
